Why I Spent $10,000 on My Health This Year (And Would Do It Again)
As a 36-year old entrepreneur and investor with three kids, I realized the ROI on energy beats almost every asset class.
In my 20s, I traded time for money.
In my 30s, I’m trading money for health.
When I posted this idea on LinkedIn last week, the response was bigger than expected.
248 comments and dozens of DMs asking questions like:
“What’s your health investment stack?”
“Is it actually working?”
“Would you recommend it?”
So today, I’m sharing my experience after a year of investing $10,000+ in blood work, vitamins, supplements, and peptides with 10X Health Center. I’m not an affiliate and make no money from this, nor do I make recommendations or pretend to be a doctor.
Just sharing what I’m doing to optimize my energy, health, and performance in 2025—and why I believe every CEO, investor, and operator should be thinking about this.
What I’m Doing (and What It Costs)
Here’s exactly where that money is going:
→ Bloodwork – $300 every 6 months
This tells me what’s off. No guessing. It’s custom to me.
I’m not taking a stack of generic vitamins anymore—I’m only taking what my body needs.
→ Genetic test – $600 one-time
Tells you what foods to avoid, how your body handles different nutrients, and what works best based on your DNA.
→ Peptides – $5,000–$10,000/year
This is where it gets interesting. I’ve taken stuff like Tesamorelin that helps with fat loss, energy, recovery, and testosterone naturally.
It helps rebuild joints and tissues too—my back feels better than it has in years.
→ Supplements – ~$1,500/year
All prescribed based on bloodwork. I’m not buying random junk off Instagram. These are high-quality, dialed in to exactly what I need.
→ Training – $3,000+ per year
CrossFit, mobility, strength. Nothing fancy—just consistent. I put on 15 pounds of lean muscle this year. That’s after being stuck at the same weight for 15+ years.
So… does it work?
In short, yes. And I can feel the difference after a year.
Here’s what I’ve noticed:
Faster recovery after workouts
Better sleep, less brain fog
More clarity in my thinking and decisions
More energy for my kids, family, and team
Just an all-around better version of myself
It’s not about chasing six-pack abs or becoming a bodybuilder.
It’s about energy, clarity, and longevity.
Why I Use 10X Health
Some people asked about the brand I use. I went with 10X Health (yes, the one tied to Grant Cardone and Gary Brecka).
Here’s why:
→ You do your bloodwork locally.
→ They analyze everything—vitamins, hormones, organs, inflammation.
→ They build a custom plan around it—vitamins, peptides, and lifestyle support.
→ They ship everything straight to your house.
It’s simple. Efficient. And actually based on your body—not whatever supplement trend is hot this week.
I do a new blood test every 6 months and they tweak the plan.
Final Thoughts
To be clear—I’m not trying to become Bryan Johnson, eating 70 pills a day and optimizing every .0001% of my health.
I just want to feel good, lift heavy, raise my kids, and run my companies with a clear head and strong body.
Most people wait until something breaks until they fix it.
I’m trying to get ahead of it—so I can keep building, stay sharp, and be there for the people who count on me.
If you’re in the game for the long haul—don’t ignore this stuff.
If you have questions on this topic, drop it in the comments or send me a DM on LinkedIn.
That’s it for today.
See you next Saturday!

P.S. If optimizing your health is one part of the equation—building wealth for more freedom is another BIG one.
