Why is it called Unfollow the Herd?

You won’t build wealth and reach your goals with a herd mentality.

Most of the millionaires I know, including myself, followed a career path that goes against everything financial gurus tell you.

• Get a safe job

• Don’t take risks

• Become addicted to salary

• Stuff your money in a 401(k)

• Wait until you’re 60 to enjoy life

No thanks.

Unfollow the Herd is where I share actionable lessons and secrets that helped me achieve financial freedom and build a thriving real estate business.

Here’s my story in 2 minutes.

• In 1994 I started my construction career with my Dad at $1 per hour and got a $1 raise yearly as I worked for his company.

• In 2010 I left my hourly job with $2,500 in my bank account to start my first business: MAK Construction.

• With 12 credits left, I dropped out of college to pursue my passion — construction — and focus 100% of my energy on my business. I went all in.

• In 2017 my life changed when I discovered commercial real estate by accident. Who knew looking for a new office would lead to starting two more companies and 10Xing my net worth in six years?

• By 2019, I started getting serious about setting goals, attending conferences, reading books, and building a personal brand.

• By 2022 we built MAK into a $25 Million company. We're doing big real estate development deals in the MidWest, pocketing millions with $0 down strategies and leverage.
