Born and raised 20 feet away from what was Waterworths Woodshop in its infancy, Marcus grew up in a great and extremely close family, going from being extremely poor when his dad was taking all of the earnings from his day job and investing his earnings into his own small cabinet shop. Marcus also saw as that paid off and how they became a middle class family when he was in my early teens. Marcus attended college, but found it wasn’t for him. While in college and working for the cabinet shop, he approached his dad about buying all or a portion of it from him. His dad replied that he could, but he needed a degree of any kind to fall back on for if it didn't work out. Marcus went to the local tech school and got an associates degree in business management. Marcus worked at the shop and tried to build up the company to be a sustainable operation by the time he graduated with his degree. He thought if he worked hard over a couple of decades, he could do around 500k in business with a few employees. In reality, they accomplished this in the second year in business. In their most recent expansion, they now produce a minimum of 1 kitchen per day and on a good week, up to 2 kitchens per day.
